A new solo CD from songwriter Howard Shapiro.
Random Notes - A Songwriter's Journey reflects a diversity of themes that includes relationships with family and friends, our interdependency with our natural world and how we as a nation relate to one another and to the rest of the world.
The songs on the CD were written over nearly three decades (1978-2006).
The CD was released in June 2007 in support of United Nations World Environment Day and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Random Notes supports Artists and the Environment, a program sponsored by Performing and Fine Artists for World Peace and Recycle Hawai`i. This environmental education program motivates youth and community action through the arts.
Selections from the CD include She Will Survive, Let Our Oceans Live, Heart Under Siege, Sand Through Our Hands, and others.
